Ladies Graded Fours Carnival
Last Thursday the 18h we hosted our Graded Fours Ladies Carnival at the club.
The weather forecast wasn’t looking great but on the day it was fine and sunny and the day was played in great company amongst all the ladies involved.
Thank you to all who played in the day and to our umpires Alastair and Gary.
Congratulations to our winners Chris Cole and team from Yamba with 3 wins – 19 ends and a margin of +18, runners-up Cathryn Atkinson and team from Yamba with 2 wins -23 ends and a margin of +9 and 3rd place Enid Mckew and team from South Grafton with 2 wins – 22 ends and a +9 margin. Round winners were Kim Keevers team from Evans Head, Pauline Ryans team from Maclean and Margaret Gospers team from Iluka.
In other news we had mixed results in the Open Pennants over the weekend. Our Grade 5 side got the win at home against Yamba 9-1 and our Grade 6 side went down against the GDSC in Grafton. Next week will see Grade 5 at home against the GDSC and Grade 6 will have the bye. Come along and support the Grade 5 side at 1pm Saturday!
Our Open Singles nominations close this week. Get in contact with Lalor now if you wish to nominate.
Our next Raine & Horne bowls morning is fast approaching on May 14th. $240 prize money for the winners of the day and vouchers will be around for the runners up. Sheet is on the noticeboard so get your names in quick.
