Maclean Cup raceday became a permanent fixture of the July Racing Carnival in 1982 when Brian Ferrie was elected to the board of the Clarence River Jockey Club.
Maclean Cup raceday has been sponsored by Maclean Bowling Club since its inception and the race offers $30,000 in prizemoney for a 1,400metre distance. Activities on the day include Kids Fashions on the Field, kids activities and entertainment and live music on the Westlawn.
The Club offers tickets to the Maclean Cup each year via ferry or bus. Tickets include hot breakfast, drinks, members stand entry, racebook and Chinese Smorgasbord on return to club.
Tickets are available for members to purchase at office - Ferry $95.00 p/p or Bus $60.00 p/p
